Trauma-informed yoga is centered on creating safety in your yoga practice.
Gentle, grounding movement that down-regulates the sympathetic nervous system (fight, freeze/fawn, or flight) and activates your parasympathetic nervous system (rest/digest) Find consensual, emotionally-supported guided movement. Perhaps lean into a more compassionate holding, embrace or even release of trauma in the body and psyche.

Mindfulness has been translated in the West as the practice of coming into compassionate, loving awareness of one’s present reality, good or bad. Some think of this as a way to perfect and train the heart by becoming more intentional with our attention, thoughts and energy.
Meditation sessions inspired by Tantric (Hinduism/yogic) and Theraveda (Buddhist) philosophies and practices. Meditation invocation inspired by Native American tradition including ceremonial spirit invocation and land appreciation. Full reverence given for meditation origins.
